Blackbraid quickly followed up their 2022 debut in 2023 with more native folk infused furious black metal. This is by no means a sophomore slump as it is equally excellent, methodical, melodical, and approachable as the first record. 9/10

A very solid black metal album with a great use of orchestral elements that adds a good bit of atmosphere. The Tolkien influences and themes are a great bonus. 7/10

I will readily and openly admit I’m not a big death metal guy, but this album has such a perfect blend of death and black metal that it was basically love at first blast beat. It combines all my favorite aspects of death and black metal with basically none of the parts I don’t like, so I can’t help but recommend this one. It grabs you by the throat from the moment it starts and doesn’t stop till the end.
